WORK HISTORY

January 2020 – Present

FPGA Design Intern

Eizo Rugged Solutions

I am currently working as an FPGA Design Engineer Intern for Eizo Rugged Solutions, focusing on the generation of IP cores for acquisition of Video data.

March 2019 – December 2019

Undergraduate Research Assistant

University of Central Florida

I worked under Dr. Mingjie Lin and Dr. Amro Awad on the SECMEM group funded by DARPA. The group’s purpose was to investigate the feasibility of replacing RAM with a non-volatile substitute. The main concept was to utilize an FPGA to encrypt data that would be placed in memory, utilizing a Merkle Tree as defense against memory attacks. I assisted with development of Linux Drivers, optimization of HLS code, and developed a GUI that worked in conjunction with a MicroBlaze on the FPGA board to demonstrate the validity of the FPGA code.

May 2019 – August 2019

Software Intern

Northrop Grumman

I worked for Northrop Grumman as a Software Engineer. My main project involved creating a Qt GUI for easily managing high value items in rooms. The application was built to be easily changed by the user for different rooms, and for different items to be kept track of.

Aug 2018 – May 2019

Undergraduate Research Assistant

UCF Center of Micro-gravity Research

I worked for the University of Central Florida’s Center of Microgravity Research team, assisting with the creation of a Cube Satellite that will perform tests for the physics department. I worked with other students to troubleshoot PCBs, programmed a Python GUI as a ground station, and assisted in programming of an STM32 microcontroller.

May 2018 – May 2019

Electrical/Software Intern

Siemens

I worked on two rotations for Siemens, first the Electrical team, and then a Software team. For the Electrical team, I utilized Excel and VBA to accelerate lookup of wiring lists for power plants. For the software team I developed an automation application updating entries from a SQL database, storing the new entries as cards on Kanban, for visualization of document workflow.

Aug 2017 – April 2018

College Work Experience Program Participant

Lockheed Martin

I worked on a sustainment engineering team on the Apache Program. My responsibilities included creating tests for analog and digital flight components to reduce repair man hours and aircraft down times.
